Randy Marquardt

Principal/Design-General Manager

Randy applies four decades of experience to every STR–SEG project. His experience in the consulting field evolved from CAD drafting to supervision and management of the department, to specification writing, design review and  ownership.

With that experience, working with a wide variety of clients, building types and building ages, both in new construction and renovation, Randy is able to lead the team in analyzing and developing solutions to any kind of building envelope problem. As Design Manager, using an outstanding ability to see the entirety of the project, he drives our ability to meet our goal of delivering to the client a quality, functional end product at the best possible value.

As General Manager, he ensures the team properly coordinates construction detailing and product specifications, and works to eliminate potential conflicts and confusion regarding the intent of the design. Proper oversight and attention to detail promotes accurate, competitive bidding and ensures that the project will run smoothly once construction begins. With a commitment to independence on behalf of our clients, we keep an open mind to a wide variety of construction products and techniques, strive to stay informed of changing market conditions, contractors, manufacturers, products and technology.
