Details of Project Successes/Challenges:

This project was completed over two summers, replacing approximately 35,000 sq. ft. of roof, addressing many ongoing problems, and updating the school’s aesthetics to coordinate with recent additions.

The work included the installation of masonry through-wall flashings at the base of the gymnasium walls, to eliminate persistent leaks. New louver flashings and a roof access door were added and tied into the thru-walls. Roof drains were replaced to accommodate added insulation for energy code requirements. Areas that had previously been damaged by storms were permanently repaired to new design standards. Finally, the perimeter fascia on the remainder of the building was painted to match the new color scheme.

Throughout the process, STR-SEG reviewed submittals, performed site observation visits, helped coordinate various contractors, and communicated with onsite and administrative personnel to ensure the scope items were completed and a quality end product was achieved.
